Our Industrial and Utilities division offers expertise in the appraisal of industrial plants, chemical complexes and manufacturing facilities. We appraise properties that produce petrochemicals, paints and dyes, explosives, fertilizer, fuel grade ethanol, ship yards, gas distribution systems, pipelines, railroads, television systems, telephone services, electrical power companies, generating facilities, wind and solar farms.

Public service companies are closely regulated by Federal and State agencies, and comprehensive appraisals often incorporate entire systems throughout North America.

In appraising these properties, we employ the most widely known and recognized procedures, as well as the Unit Appraisal concept in estimating market values for such properties. These complex industrial properties may have values well into the hundreds of millions, and even a slight difference in valuation can have a large impact on the taxing entity. We pride ourselves in working closely with the property owners and taxing entities to achieve the fair market value.

Our staff has a combined experience of over 200 years and offers the diversity in that experience to be knowledgeable in the economic and technological changes continuously made in these properties, and how each type of property is to be considered for property valuations base on each state’s unique tax laws.
